Tasked with creating inventions that would help solve modern-day problems, Mrs. Hunt's students began to anticipate the possibilities of gadgets they could make. The Dog Chip, Grocery Backpack, Dog Washer and Eco Drone were just a few of the creative problem-solving inventions. Carrying groceries hands-free is made easy by the Grocery Backpack, which effortlessly carries dozens of bags on hooks and incorporates a tarp for rainy days. Eco-Drone, a drone programmed to pick up waste, promises a litter-free world. Count me in!
Preliminary models were instrumental in bringing these visions to life. Tinkercad fueled students' imagination as their ideas evolved into tangible models using Merge's Object Viewer App, which creates virtual holograms that students can hold in their hands. This allowed students to look at their designs and make changes before finalizing them.

Twas the week before Thanksgiving when all thro' the school, not a person was stirring, not even a child. Ms. Gray's students were nestled all snug in their desks as visions of turkeys danced in their heads. Not just ordinary turkeys, but ones that had life, thanks to Merge's AR and Tinkercad's variety of shapes. In this video, as one can see, Tinkercad students build with glee. As unique as the students themselves, the one-of-a-kind Tinkercad turkeys filled the design cloud.

Engineering Design process is pivotal in Ms. Gray's STEM class. Students build models of turkeys via Tinkercad. Merge's AR Object Viewer app brought each prototype to life (see image below) as turkeys were held, twisted, and turned students lent an examining eye. Questions abound. Do they attach to the base? Is each turkey up to design specifications? Are they too big? Time to go back and improve. The beauty of Merge Cube's Object Viewer app? It acts as a 3D printer print preview. Who doesn't love a helpful print preview? Another benefit of the app is its capability to act as an augmented reality project preview for schools that don't have access to 3D printers.

Hello everyone! I'm today's guest blogger- with a post you won't want to skip!

Our topic is Maker Bookmarks, as you probably saw by the title. Making these handy place-savers is fun, easy, and highly customizable, so let's get to making!

Here are the materials I used to create this project:

You'll definitely want to invest in some 3-Doodler molds to get started. These are rubber, which is perfect for peeling off your design. I used the Shapes and Symbols molds, but other fun animals and shapes are available as well. Truly a simple process. Of course, you can always freehand the design if you would like, but the molds helped me because I'm not an artist by any means. These molds work by filling the shape using the 3-Doodler, waiting about 30 seconds for it to dry completely, then peeling it off. That simple!

When I say these bookmarks are totally customizable, I mean it! You can make these as simple or complicated as you like, which makes this project a fun one for kids as well as adults. Once you have made a shape, feel free to get creative and combine multiple of your creations to make other designs. For example, I made a flower using a circle for the center, in which 8 ovals branched out to form multicolored petals, as shown below. To attach the shapes, use more 3-Doodler plastic on the back of the design.

The final step is to attach your design to a paperclip. I prefer the jumbo-size so that the paperclip is not entirely taken up by the design, therefore still able to clip onto paper. Attach the clip and your design by using 3-Doodler plastic, then hold the two together until dry. Ta-da! Your unique DIY bookmark is ready to be used- so get to reading! These would also make adorable gifts for teacher appreciation or your bookworm friend.

Here are a few bookmarks that I have made:
Have you heard of Bristlebots? They are made up of toothbrush heads, a battery and page motor. And the best part, they are super easy for students to assemble. Not only do these tiny microrobots fit with math and science standards, but the soft skills such as perseverance, problem solving, collaboration, communication, team building abound. #growthmindset

As I have just began exploring the resources and curricular connections these buzzing bots bring to education, there are a ton of them. Here are just a few thoughts and ideas. Feel free to share ways you plan to use them with your students.
Curricular Connections:

Science Connection: How does a circuit work? By designing the bristlebot students discover the secret to circuitry to make it go. How can I design the bot to go faster? Slower? Design race challenges.

PBL Connection - Robotic Mop - My colleague, Kristin Siembieda, suggested painting to find volume and area. A great hook, roll out the bulletin board paper and let students experiment before designing a prototype. To bring in authentic learning and the PBL components, she suggests to local elementary teachers, students design an robotic mop. Using graph paper, place their buzzing bot to the test to see how much area it could cover in so many minutes. What changes could be made to the bot to cover more surface area? Longer brush end? Smaller brush end? Less decoration?

ELA STEAM Connection -

KSU iTeach provides opportunities to transform learning EVERYDAY. With @stephsteph83 at the helm, helping teachers personalize learning with data driven instruction coupled with targeted instruction, student ownership, reflection, and digital integrated content which ultimately impacts student achievement becomes a reality. A mouthful, right? Translated, working with teachers to seamlessly integrate blended learning into the curriculum in a way that meets the needs of every student.

The most rewarding piece? When a student makes a connection, takes ownership and soars. Perfect example, our first Maker Camp launched this summer. A past blog post on our Maker Camp. Our station theme was coding. At the Ozobot rotation, day one, campers learned coding basics, ran a few practice mazes. Campers were semi-interested. Every day we added new challenges. On the third day, the challenge consisted of making DIY skins for their Ozobots. Picture hot glue guns, buttons, fabric, pipe cleaners, and any other embellishment you can imagine. Campers decorated their skins anyway their imagination lead. Some made mice, others made cats, others rockstars, the sky was the limit. Can you say STE(A)M? Adding the "art" and "personalized" piece, this station came alive for these campers. Campers were designing everything from coded concert halls to vacation spots. The ozobot became "real-world", authentic, they got it. The proverbial light went off. That day will go down in the history books for me. A day full of reward. Coding was embraced. They were playing, while learning and didn't even realize it. Just one of the many reasons I love my job.

The Maker Movement is taking education by storm. Why is this movement so important? According to NewsWeek's article, "Creativity Crisis", student creativity test scores (Torrence's IQ Test) had been rising until 1990, since then a steady decline. Most apparent in grades K-5. Why? In the 1990's we saw more technology growth than ever. The decade of the '90's introduced the World Wide Web, the Pentium Processor, and electric cars to name of few. Our students were consuming more than producing. The remedy? Get them creating again. Let's bring back the American Ingenuity. America is known for it's great inventors, specialists in figuring out new ways of doing things. A problem solving nation.

Leave it to the KSU iTeach Center, to make a mark on developing future creative genius's. The next cancer curer, expert reverse brain engineer, skilled cybercrime/cyberterrorism programmer. Creativity is a major component in thinking like an engineer. KSU iTeach Center, takes our job seriously transforming the lives of students through STEAM (science, technology, arts, engineering and math).

Horizon's Maker Camp was no exception. Our staff, worked with rising 1st graders to integrate Maker Camp with an emphasis on Coding. A special thanks to our team members, Kris McBride <span style="color: #8899a6; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif;">@<span class="u-linkComplex-target" style="background: rgb(245 , 248 , 250); color: #8899a6; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 14px; text-decoration: none;">bebemom<span style="color: #8899a6; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif;">, Leigh Martin @leighmlibrarian<span style="background-color: #f5f8fa; color: #8899a6; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 14px;"> and Helen Maddox <span style="color: #8899a6; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif;">@<span class="u-linkComplex-target" style="background: rgb(245 , 248 , 250); color: #8899a6; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 14px; line-height: 14px; outline: 0px; text-decoration: underline;">ITTechCafe who helped to make these student's day.

What did our campers learn at Horizon's ? Campers were introduced to what it looked like to be a Maker. Station Rotation allowed campers to rotate between the Sphero, Osmos Coding, and Ozobots. After round one of rotations campers read stories by the amazing Leigh Martin, on big ideas and makers. The last round concluded with STEAM challenges at each stop, Sphero, Osmos Coding, and Ozobots. The first KSU iTeach Center Maker Camp was a huge success. Twenty campers grade K-5th marched through the doors of Kennesaw Hall ready to create. What is a Maker? A maker uses their imagination and materials (both techie and non-techie) around their environment to solve problems or invent something new. Our unique camp provided campers with makerspace, a collaborative environment to design, prototype, and created manufactured works which would not be possible to individual working in spaces alone.

Campers learned what it meant to be a maker. Using books from our Maker Bookshelf, campers followed characters such as Rosie and her dream to be an engineer, Iggy and his passion for architecture, and a little girl and her canine assistant. But most of all they learned a maker never gives up. Making ideas out of your brain can be hard, says Kid President. Get a dream, get a goal and go for it. At the end of the week campers shared their thoughts on what a maker is...

Personalized Learning with Ozobots

STEAM education becomes real and innovate with the Ozobot in hand. The Ozobot is a tiny robot programmed to read lines. The lines are hand coded by kids. Codes can be created offline (using good 'ole fashioned paper), on the the app, or the Ozoblockly coding editor. Take it a step further by personalizing the robots DIY skins. Which is what inspired our campers. Who wants to dance? Meet us at the disco party followed by a trip to the Bahamas. Oh the places the Ozobot will go. Once they learned they could bring their Ozobot to life, they designed discos, cities, market places, vacation spots all with coded mazes for Ozobot to follow.

Put a folder inside a folder. This is one of my personal favorites because some apps fit with other apps, but there are several of them. For example, I have 2 monogram apps and I wanted to put them in a folder inside my "extras" folder. So, to do this, you need to make a folder of the apps that you want to put inside the other folder (this will be folder 1). Then, hold folder 1 with one hand and tap on the other folder's upper left corner (folder 2). (Since you are tapping on the left corner of folder 2, you might want to use your right hand to hold and left hand to tap folder 2).
What a treat to see real word, hands on project based learning in action at Ford Elementary. Mrs. Cauffiel, an enthusiastic, dedicated STEM teacher, shared Ford's STEM certification journey. Evolving from (just to name a very few) the learning commons (area in the media center), engineering in elementary, organization of parent volunteers, to the amazing display of 5th grade hydroponics display, no stone was left unturned in this STEM rollout.

Did you know for every student that has a STEM background they have four jobs to choose from and for those that have no STEM background are competing with three others for the same job.

Wow! Does that land on you like it does me? Spiraling with questions. How can we give our students the competitive edge? What would adding the engineering design process to my classroom projects look like? How can I leverage the P21 resources to engage my students? What prompts sustained inquiry? How can I foster inquiry? Where would I start with authentic real word problem solving in my classroom? How could Project Based Learning promote lifelong learning? A culture of inquiry and innovation.

A few things really "stuck" with me on the visit. STEM focus days. At the end of each quarter, students participate in STEM related activities. What a wonderful time to bring in field experts. In person, google hangouts, or skype. Learning spaces redefined with "mediascapes",which reminded me of Starbucks. Screaming communication and collaboration. Ford's media center is called the Learning Commons. Rethinking school culture. Creating a 21st Century Learning mindset.

The project based learning/STEM projects were carefully design and executed. The one pictured below is the Hydroponics Project designed by the 5th grade class, under the leadership of the knowledgeable Mrs. Cauffiel. And it does't end there, one grade hatched chicken eggs and with the help of the environmental coordinator designed a chicken coop. Another grade level rescued a habitat.

If you are in the area, a STEM Tour should be on your list for sure. Contact Mrs. Cauffiel for more information.
The Georgia Department of Education boasts a classroom with new design in mind. The Center for Classroom Innovation leaves no stone unturned. With the knowledgeable, Chara Lee our tour focused on pedagogy, technology, and space. Yes, all three in one silver bullet. Active, flexible learning space combined with the 21st Century Super C's (communication, collaboration, creativity, critical thinking) is the secret behind this design. As documented, in Active Learning Spaces, research supports a multi-sensory approach to teaching and learning. Studies show active learing spaces increase engagement, promotes deeper participation, maximizes student achievement and elevates the idea that learning is fun. Active Learning Spaces says, "just as there are a variety ways in which we learn, there must also be a variety of spaces in which learning occurs." Let's take a virtual tour of the spaces that were featured in the Center of Classroom for Innovation.

Campfire Space
Features a round post-it note paper table. Let the round table ideas flow. Complete with movable dividers, comfortable seating, and buoy chairs. Buoy chairs as active as the students. They are adjust according to size. Flexible lighting features make this space a desirable learning cove. Note: depending on fabric of the dividers, after looking at for a long period of time can cause dizziness.
Authentic. Project Based LearningEngaged, on task and ready to learn from the word go describes Ms. S's classroom. Students want to be in this class. Hands on, real world, authentic learning combined with the upbeat and positive Ms. Singleton, made me want to stay too. All day.

The attention to detail around the room was second to none. On the wall hung visual reminders such as, post reflections on the blog, group job descriptions, think tank location, what critical thinking looks like in each grade to name a few. Impeccable classroom layout. Rolling tables and chairs for easy placement. Learning stations which included 3D Printing, Apple TV, Chromebook and iPad Carts.

Welcome to the world of project based learning. Project based learning units aligned with standards along with real life application. Let's dive into a few of these projects. The kindergarten kicked off the year learning about communities. They designed their own Kinderville Community. Using boxes of various shapes and sizes the construction began. Students engineered roads, buildings, places of learning, complete with lakes and parks. Look closely and you could find the students (pictures on index cards) around the community. No detail is overlooked in this PBL classroom, student jobs (pictured below) are decided for each project. Students take their roles seriously. They interview for their positions and share why they would be good in that role. If they do not get the role, they are encouraged, when trying something new you may find you really enjoy it and are good at it. Real life learning.

Reflection is a big piece of PBL, students are encouraged to blog about their experiences. as John Dewey reminds us, "We do not learn from experience . . . we learn from reflecting on experience.

Lulu is the kind of girl who pitches a fit and gets what she wants. And she wants a brontosaurus for her birthday. Does Lulu's birthday wish come true? Read the book to find out.

For the opening, students used Answer Garden to create a word cloud. See picture below. Students shared main ideas, as students shared the same idea, they enjoyed watching the word get larger.

As a way of reviewing facts in each chapter, our first grade students use the iBrainstorm app, to share their ideas with one another. The app has story map templates, along with a host of concept mapping templates. Students use sticky notes to post their facts about each chapter. When they are finished they can "flick" their sticky notes to another iPad in the room. Did you hear that? Yes, sticky notes fly (transmitted thru the wifi) between iPads. Students choose to accept the note from their peers. After receiving the sticky note, students drag the sticky note fact to the correct chapter.

What's even cooler, are the Fifty Three Stylus Pencils that can be paired with the app. Students write with the stylus just as they would a pencil. It has the same feel. And even has an eraser to boot.

Nearpod's latest feature - Virtual Field Trips

Students have the opportunity to view the world from their finger tips with the help of Nearpod's Virtual Field Trips and hardware from Unofficial Google Cardboard. If students are learning about Ancient Greece, they simply grab their togas, google cardboard and nearpod app and off to the Acropolis they go. Time travel never was easier. "I can reach out and touch it, as if I was there." - the voice of a 3rd grader.

How do I launch a Virtual Field Trip in my classroom? It's simple, follow these steps:

1. Sign up for a free Nearpod Account

2. Explore the premade Virtual Field Trips from the Library

3. Add your own field trips by creating a new presentation, choose My Library, New Presentation.

4. Select Add Slide, Add Content, Virtual Field Trips. You will need to upgrade to the Gold Membership for $12 a month or go to the upgrade for free in the top right and share the link with 5 friends to receive the gold membership free for 6 months.

5. Publish the presentation.

6. View live, enter the pin in the "join session" box on another computer, ipad, smartphone, or tablet. 7. To view the virtual field trips on the smartphone, click on the mask looking icon on the top right, put phone inside google cardboard. The cardboard only works on the smartphones. The tablets and ipads can be moved around and up and down to view the field trip.

Virtual Reality is not only taking the education world by storm, but also the "real" world. New York Times is parterning with Google to produced the documentary, "Displaced", about uprooted children from the war.

The MakerMovement is an umbrella term for the independent inventors, rethinkers, and tinkers. Important for our students, teaching them to think outside the box. Use their imagination. A project without lines. Creation only limited to imagination. A future that is bright for our students. One that is not consuming, but creating.

Lots of STEAM - Science, Technology, Engineering, ART and Math

Atlanta has it's Maker Faire this weekend. The kids and I tinkered, explored, and invented.
Made me think about what kind of maker I am. What kind of maker are you?

The kids learned how to make paper. They started with a wire mesh tray in water with loose cotton fibers. The fibers stuck to the wire mesh. Next station required vacuuming the excess water. Last station, iron the paper. Yes, iron for 10 seconds. Very cool indeed. And what is even cooler, Atlanta has it's own world renoun paper museum. The Georgia Tech Museum of Paper Making. They have several school programs, from Paper Works, Paper in Our World, Paper Travel to Book Arts. The standards covered are listed on their website. They even custom tailor programs, simply contact the Education Curator.
Out of this world, AMAZING! Incredible. These words seem to do this club injustice. This is one club you will want to learn more about.

Droves of middle school students attend the Up to You monthly club meeting to learn more about international injustices such as world hunger, poverty, lack of clean water, and human trafficking. On this particular Tuesday, the afternoon bell rings, middle school students pile into the gregarious, up-beat, go-getter, Ms. C. Wood's classroom. The mastermind behind the club. They are learning about social injustices, but not in the typical way. These students learn by doing. Ms. Wood and her outstanding team sponsors (Mrs. B. Wood, Mrs. Sexton, Mrs. Connally, Mrs. Maulding, and Mr. Harris) have ingeniously designed tasks for students to complete while learning about social injustices.

Today's Topic: Rice Field Slaves
On my visit, students began by watching a You Tube Video on a bonded servant (born into slavery) in the rice fields. For 18 hours a day he works separating rice so we can eat it. Yep, that would be the equivalent of two consecutive school days working - in the heat, with no shoes, and little water. Not to mention the verbal and physically abusive conditions. You could hear a pin drop as students watch, moved by the words of this slave - longing for freedom. Eager to learn more. We learn best by doing. Next step? Complete four tasks to simulate the environment/conditions of slavery. Students work in teams of 3 or 4. They have 30 minutes to complete all four tasks. Incentives? Oh yes, Ms. Wood knows how to motivate her middle schoolers if their team is first or second to complete the four tasks they receive a penny necklace. A necklace to serve as a reminder that everyone has value. The winning teams earns $5 to go towards a gift basket for a teacher of their choice. Learn more about the End It Movement.

Task 1: Digging for Dinner

As students enter they read information pertaining to the task in relation slavery. In this task, Student separate rice from sand, shells, rocks, and dirt for their dinner. A huge bin filled with rice and these other particles are placed on a table, using an aluminium foil pie tin with holes, students sift out rice, enough to make a half cup. A half cup of clean rice that is. Once complete students eagerly get the task signed off and zoom to the next station.

Task 2: Money Talks

At this task, students optimize bartering skills. In order to receive the ingredients to make dough (salt, flour, water) they have to give something (purse, shoe, phone, etc). Recipe? Nope. Students experiment with various amounts until the ingredients form a dough mixture.

Task 3: Chasing Waterfalls

Clean water. A luxury we take for granted. Along with many others - First World Problems, Read by Third World People. The challenge: students use a coffee filter to pour dirty water through to get clean water into their water bottle. They need half a water bottle full of clean water for their check off at this task.

Task 4: Grind it Out

At this task, students are given coffee beans, using lots of creativity and ingenuity they are to quickly make them into coffee grounds.

Meaningful words from teachers/students

A teacher says, "I haven't seen this much passion in teaching in a long time."

A fellow colleague says, "She (Ms. C. Wood) is beyond amazing, she comes up with all these ideas herself."

A 7th graders perspective " Up to You club is an eye opening interactive club. We do things that other slaves do on a day to day basis. The first club meeting, we had to go fetch water in huge Home Depot buckets and carry it a long way without spilling very much water. (If we had a certain amount full, we received our club shirt). It took forever because my team had to keep stopping to re-grip. I hope that Up to You will continue for a long, long, time."

Oh and all those cute adorable signs? Yes, Ms. C. Wood is not only brilliant in curriculum development and instruction, but a rockstar DIYer!

We are more than thankful to have her at our middle school. She is admired by colleagues and treasured by students.

Last week, I got to do something that I rarely get an opportunity to do, but is one of my favorite things! A big thanks to my colleague, Kris, my tour guide. Visit a neighboring school district. What a treat! Wow! Super Wow! Triple Wow! Words can't express enough wow factor for Medlock Bridge's Elementary School Media Center. Personalized Learning, Genius Hour, MakerSpace, oh my! Are just the tip of the iceberg in this media center's digital toolbox. A huge shout out to Mrs. Hutchens, MBES Principal, a strong advocate of transforming today's digital learners.

Ms. Martin, the master mind behind the media center, goes to great lengths to ensure learning for all students. And it doesn't stop there, she ensures teachers are plugged into learning at its fullest potential. Her mission: transformational learning. How? Glad you asked. A few of my highlights:

1. Personalized Learning Spaces
The circle pads were purchased via Scholastic. Search for carpet squares.

2. Read Across America Garden
In honor of Dr.Suess's Read Across Amercia Day, MBES hosts Read Across Medlock Day. Utlizing the one book one school concept. One year they did Tales of Despereaux. Another year "The World According to Humphrey". Complete with the media center's very own hamster. The hamster had his own blog. Check his blog out on their website. Ms. Martin, started a Truffula garden. Each student who completed their reading log was given a seed. Look at their beautiful garden. Look real close and you can see the rocks the book club painted. Ms. Martin leaves no stone unturned.

3. Digital Citizenship Station - Jenga Blocks
Before students are able to use the iPads they must complete 2.5 hours of digital citizenship coursework to earn their digital passport. This station has students trying not to knock the Jenga wall down while carefully taking out a block. Some blocks have questions about digital citizenship. Some questions are turn and talks, others are tips. Every so often a brain break video.
4. Digital Citizenship Station - Graffiti Wall

Students write what they have learned about being safe online. Each grade will have their graffitti walls displayed in the hallway.

5. Genius Hour

The entire school participates in the genius hour. This is during their NBI time each day. Each grade level has their own variation. For example, the younger grades may focus on a theme. One grade focused on character traits. The first trait: kindness. The class brainstormed ways they could show kindness. With help from various site and resources engaging students in developing deep questions, inquiry based learning and Wondertropolis aided teachers. Their kindness project, designing and hiding bookmarks for other students to find in the media center. Another class used chalk to write positive words on the 4th grade playground. New Additions to Bingo Baker

A few posts ago, Bingo Baker was mentioned. After working with a few primary teachers the topic came up of creating smaller boards and adding images for our "littles." Mr. Bingo Baker developer was awesome, he heard our request and went to work. Guess what? A week later, the option of a 5x5 grid or 3x3 and inserting images. How's that for customer service?

TKES TAPS Performance Standards

As part of the Race to the Top Initiative (RT3), Georgia, in collaboration with RT3 Districts, educational partners, and the Evaluation Task Force Committee, developed a new effectiveness system for teacher evaluation and professional growth. It was piloted in 2012 and currently has been launched.

The TAPS consists of five domains and ten standards. Standard eight, Academically Challenging Environments, characterizes the teacher created a student-centered, academic environment in which teaching and learning occur at high levels and students are self directed learners. An example, the teacher conveys the message that mistakes should be embraced as a valuable part of learning. Other wise known in twitter circles, as growth mindsets. Growth mindsets teach students to persevere through a problem. These statements are helpful for parents, too. Thank you, @Primary_Ed for the awesome presentation of self statements.
Sitting for long periods of time can be a challenge for our young learners and for us adults, too! So when given a chance to make learning fun and get the wiggles out, count me in! Bingo Baker, is an online bingo board creator. And it's free. The free option allows you to create as many boards as you would like. If you want to edit your bingo boards or print more than 8 at a time, you can pay to become a member for $14.95 for life. I am using Bingo Baker Boards for Getting to Know You (G2KU) activities in my trainings.

To add an element of technology fun, I have created a QR Code for teachers to scan to play bingo on their iPads or Tablets. The cool part? Each time the QR Code is scanned a new Bingo Board is generated. So no two students have the same board. Students simply tap on the square on their device it turns yellow, if tapped again it will return to white. Need another board? Simply refresh.

Who remembers the old dot matrix printers? ( I am showing my age on this one) You know the ones we used in college computer labs that required switching the printer to print from Computer A, Computer B, C or D. Am I getting a few nods?

So why not try this same concept for an iPad and computer? At the teacher station (hooked to a classroom overhead projector) often switching back and forth between the monitor and iPad can be a bit troublesome taking out the VGA cord from the computer and hooking into the dongel to display the iPad screen on the projector. I use the dongel below for the iPad2 to project on the screen.

In comes the "old school" data switch box. By switching from A to B, either the computer screen or the iPad screen is projected on the screen. Viola!

Simply place the VGA Cable from the computer to the I/O (input/output) of the data switchbox. Place the pictured cable below in the A or B and connect one to the dongel on the iPad and the other to the computer.
The data switch boxes typically come with 4 of these male to male end cables.
There are tons of free icon-like clipart. Create a free login to download. There are three options for downloading these beauties. First, free with the credit to the author embedded in the clipart. Second, purchase single uses of the clipart. Thirdly, purchase a monthly or yearly license for unlimited clipart downloads. For more details, see the pricing guide. Below is the free example with image credit.
Another super cool trick I learned from Tony Vincent's session on images was how to recolor the images. Tony shows how to recolor them using Method Draw. See Tony's step-by-steps here. I wanted to try recoloring with PicMonkey.

How cool is this? Do you know how many times images are used in education? From teacher presentations, student presentations, digital storytelling, comic strips, book reports, to claymation, and the list goes on and on.

Steps for Recoloring in PicMonkey:

1. Choose Design in PicMonkey, select square
